These Terms of Service govern use of RememberTheirPaws.com and memorial services provided by Remember Their Paws.
By purchasing or requesting a memorial service, you agree to these Terms together with the package description, estimate, invoice, or other project details provided to you.
Website use
You may use this website for lawful purposes and to learn about, contact, or purchase services from Remember Their Paws.
You may not attempt to interfere with the website, gain unauthorized access to its systems, misuse its content, or use the website in a way that violates the rights of others.
Memorial services
Remember Their Paws creates custom digital memorials using photographs, videos, stories, interviews, and other materials supplied by customers.
Available packages, features, current starting prices, hosting options, add-ons, and typical delivery times are described on our Packages page.
Package descriptions represent the standard scope of each service. Projects involving unusual requirements, substantial custom development, unusually large amounts of content, premium domains, extensive editing, or work outside the listed package scope may require an additional estimate.
Any additional charges will be disclosed before the related work is performed.
Pricing and payment
Current package and add-on prices are shown on our website or provided in a project estimate.
Some services are listed as “starting at” a particular price because the final cost may depend on project requirements.
Any required deposit, payment schedule, accepted payment method, or other payment terms will be communicated before paid work begins.
Third-party costs that fall outside the included service, such as unusually expensive or premium domain names, may be passed through to the customer after approval.
Beginning a project
Work may begin after we have received the information, materials, approvals, and any required payment necessary to start the project.
Delivery estimates begin once we have the materials reasonably necessary to proceed.
Delays in receiving photographs, videos, interviews, approvals, feedback, or other customer-provided materials may extend the estimated delivery date.
Customer-provided materials
Customers retain ownership of their original photographs, videos, stories, recordings, and other materials.
By submitting materials for a memorial project, you confirm that you have the right or permission to provide and use those materials.
You grant Remember Their Paws a limited permission to use the materials as reasonably necessary to create, revise, host, maintain, archive, and deliver your memorial.
We do not claim ownership of customer-provided original content.
Memorial content and accuracy
We rely on information supplied by customers and contributors when preparing stories, timelines, captions, and other memorial content.
Customers are responsible for reviewing names, dates, facts, spelling, photographs, and other important details during the revision and approval process.
We will make reasonable efforts to correct errors within the revision allowance included with the selected package.
Revisions
Each package includes a specified number of revision rounds.
A revision round may include reasonable changes to existing memorial content and presentation.
Large changes in direction, replacement of substantial amounts of previously approved content, new sections, additional interviews, significant redesign work, or requests beyond the included revision allowance may require an additional fee.
Additional revisions may be purchased when available.
Delivery times
Delivery times shown on the website are typical estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates.
We make reasonable efforts to meet those estimates, but timing may be affected by project complexity, customer response times, third-party services, technical issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Rush service may be available for an additional fee when scheduling permits.
Cancellations and refunds
If you need to cancel a project, please contact us as soon as possible.
Refund eligibility will depend on the amount of work already completed and any non-refundable third-party expenses already incurred for the project.
Once substantial custom work has been completed or a memorial has been delivered, payments for completed work may not be refundable.
Any project-specific cancellation or refund terms disclosed before work begins will also apply.
Hosting
Packages may include an initial hosting period as described on the Packages page.
After the included hosting period ends, continued hosting may require an annual renewal fee.
Current renewal options and pricing are published on our website and may change for future renewal periods.
We intend to provide advance notice before a paid hosting period expires and may provide a grace period as described in the current hosting terms.
If hosting is not renewed, the memorial may eventually be removed from our servers after the applicable notice or grace period.
When available, customers may request a downloadable archive of their memorial.
Custom domains
Some packages include custom-domain services, and custom domains may also be available separately.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, a domain obtained for a customer memorial is intended to belong to the customer.
We may register, configure, renew, or manage the domain on the customer's behalf when that service is included or purchased.
Premium domains or domains costing substantially more than the standard amount included with a service may require an additional charge with customer approval.
Customers may request transfer of an eligible domain under their control, subject to applicable registrar rules and technical requirements.
Customer approval
Before final delivery, customers may be asked to review and approve their memorial.
Approval indicates that the customer has reviewed the memorial and accepts the content and presentation, subject to any remaining services specifically included in the selected package.
Promotional use
Customer memorials and customer-provided photographs, videos, stories, or other personal content will not be used in advertising, public portfolios, social media, or promotional examples without permission.
Website and Remember Their Paws content
Unless otherwise stated, the Remember Their Paws name, branding, website design, text, graphics, and other original business materials are owned by Remember Their Paws.
They may not be copied, reproduced, or republished for commercial purposes without permission.
This does not give Remember Their Paws ownership of customer-provided memorial content.
Third-party services and links
Our website and memorial services may use or link to third-party services such as hosting providers, domain registrars, email providers, payment services, video services, or other technology platforms.
Those services may have their own terms and policies.
Remember Their Paws is not responsible for outages, policy changes, discontinued services, or other actions by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.
Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website and hosted memorials available, secure, and functioning properly.
However, continuous or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical failures, internet outages, security incidents, third-party service disruptions, and other circumstances may occasionally affect availability.
Changes to services and pricing
We may update packages, features, pricing, hosting rates, add-ons, or these Terms from time to time.
Changes will not retroactively alter amounts already agreed upon for work already purchased unless both parties agree otherwise.
Updated Terms will apply to future purchases and continued services as appropriate.
